This book's plot may have fantasy characters, but the plot line has a much bigger moral. This piece of literature concerns a farm in which the animals can supposedly 'talk'. In a swift but steady act, the animals reject their owner and seize the farm. Establishing seven commandments, they elect a leader, ironically named Napoleon, who works alongside comrade Snowball. (It is worth noting that stated leaders are pigs).
However, Napoleon abuses the power bestowed upon him by his subjects, eliminating those who defy him, eventually (and inevitably) reverting back to the ways of the farm before the revolution, the only difference being Napoleon's rule.
This book is worthy of reading because of it's strong political message: those who you give trust to may not be the same person you thought they'd be.
Is this book fiction? Or is there something more to it? Read Animal Farm by George Orwell to find out!
