Gone by Michael Grant

One day everything was normal, then the other day everyone that is 15 and above just disappear. Sam was sitting in one of his classes when all of a sudden the teacher disappears. With the help of his friends, Astrid and Quinn, they soon find out that that people with the age of 15 and up all disappeared leaving only toddlers, middle schoolers, and young teens on earth. All access of electricity is gone meaning there is no television or radios to watch and hear the news.

When Sam saves a girl from fire, everyone thinks that he is the leader now, but do they really know what happened while Sam was saving the little girl?  Do they know that the little girl started the fire with her own hands and, even worse, Sam has a connection with her fire powers.

Everyone is hungry and there is no one to take control. When Sam isn't around, bullies decide to take control and rule the city and make it terrifying for kids

The only thing Sam can do is try to find a way to bring back humans older then 15.
Will Sam, Astrid, and Quinn survive the surprise of danger? Or will they get defeated?

Gone is an excellent science fiction book. An action packed thriller that will leave you wanting more.
