Every year 2 people, a male and a female with the ages between 12 to 18 will get a chance to play in the Hunger Games.
This book is based on a girl named Katniss Everdeen. Katniss Everdeen is 16 years old and lives in District 12 which is Panem. Panem is one of the poorest out of 12 districts. Katniss lives with her little sister, Prim and her mom. As the names get called for the 75th annual Hunger Games Katniss hears her sisters name get called with that she volunteers to take prims spot as the female contender in the Hunger Games. With Peeta being the male contender, both are sent to district 1 to train for the Hunger Games. 24 contenders and only 1 can win Katniss is determined to win the Hunger Games and will do everything she can to see and protect her little sister again.
The Hunger Games is a brilliant thrilling suspense that you will not stop thinking about.
